Romulus Bostan ist ein professioneller Betrüger

Bei Romulus Bostan handelt es sich um einen professionellen Betrüger mit Sitz in Dänemark. Seine Masche ist immer die selbe: Er bietet im Internet ein Produkt zu einem sehr guten Preis an – egal ob alte Schwerter, Autos oder Hifi-Zubehör. Sobald es einen ernsthaften Interessenten gibt, sendet er ihm sogar die Kopie eines Reiseausweises (s. Bild), um sämtliche Zweifel an seiner Seriosität zu beseitigen. Der Interessent überweist daraufhin den Betrag – und erhält nie seine Ware.
Selbstverständlich ist Romulus Bostan daraufhin weder über seine Handynummer (pre-paid) noch über seine E-Mail-Adresse (gmx) oder seine Bank zu erreichen. Da er es mit Handynummer und E-Mail-Adresse so zu machen scheint, liegt die Vermutung nahe, dass er auch für jede Transaktion ein neues Konto bei einer anderen Bank eröffnet.
Ob Romulus Bostan sein richtiger Name, ein Pseudonym oder gar der Name eines rechtschaffenen dänischen Staatsbürgers ist, ist nicht bekannt. Derzeit ermitteln sowohl die deutschen als auch die dänischen Behörden gegen ihn.

This “gentleman” is a professional fraudster based in Denmark. His scam is always the same: he offers a product on the Internet at a very good price eg. old swords, cars or audio accessories. If somebody is seriously interested, Bostan even sends him a copy of a travel document (see picture) to eliminate all doubts about his sincerity. When the prospective buyer has transferred the money – he/she never receives the goods.
Romulus Bostan seems to use a different mobile number, email address and bank account for each transaction, which of course are closed down the moment he has received the money, so tracking him after payment is impossible.
Whether Romulus Bostan is his real name, a pseudonym, or even the name of a righteous Danish citizen, is not known. Currently both the German and the Danish authorities are investigating.
